Bonnie the Bunny is an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS, being one of the four revealed antagonists of the game.
After the rebranding of Fredbear's Family Diner, Bonnie the Bunny replaced Bonnie Rabbit as the guitarist at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, shredding his guitar on the Show Stage to impress audiences alongside Freddy Fazbear and Chica the Chicken, who together form the talented cast that brings joy to the restaurant. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place would be abandoned in 2002, leading to Bonnie remaining in the location alongside the remaining animatronics for a year until the arrival of the protagonist.

Appearance[]
Bonnie the Bunny is an anthropomorphic deep blue bunny with lighter shades of lavender on his stomach and muzzle. Unlike his original counterpart from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, Bonnie the Bunny's design in the game is designed to be more faithful to the cyberamic animatronics of the late 1900s, resulting in the absence of a waist and segmented joints that reveal his endoskeleton. Instead of articulated ears, he has realistic, fixed bunny ears. His features include pink eyes, a prominent muzzle, and a small jaw with no upper row of teeth, as well as a lack of eyebrows. He wears a red bowtie that loosely hangs from his neck. During the night, Bonnie's eyes can be begin glowing akin to his movie counterpart.
Like his original counterpart, Bonnie holds his iconic guitar, but this iteration in Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS is entirely unique. Known as Elenaor, Bonnie's guitar features a tangerine color with hints of red and is adorned with various stickers of his bandmates and background props. The guitar has a gray neck with tan strings, and its rainbow-colored frets echo the design of his original counterpart, as depicted in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted.
Personality[]
Compared to other characters, Bonnie the Bunny has not exhibited much personality beyond his role as a guitarist, which implies a stereotypical rockstar persona. However, Bonnie has often been portrayed as having a close relationship with Freddy Fazbear, acting as his right-hand man. As a result, Liam Bradford and Brooke Monohan commonly share the belief that Freddy and Bonnie might be in a close relationship; a running gag within the Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS community.[1]
History[]
Like the other animatronics, Bonnie the Bunny was conceptualized in 1979 prior to his debut on stage in January 1984, just a year after the closure of Fredbear's Family Diner, which had shut down in 1983 for "classified reasons," speculated to be related to the infamous Bite of 1983. Initially, Bonnie was intended to be a secondary performer alongside Freddy and Friends at Fredbear's Family Diner, however were cut due to a lack of budget. However, in an effort to rebrand the restaurant, Henry Emily decided to replace the original Bonnie Rabbit with Bonnie the Bunny. Following this transition to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, numerous locations opened across the country, promising the same fantasy and fun as the previous venue with the exclusion of the presence of Freddy Fazbear and his friends.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place would remain opened until 1985, where it had temporarily shut down due to management issues following the unfortunate death of Henry Emily and disappearance of William Afton, leading an unknown member of the Emily family to hold the title as the owner of the restaurant. The location would remain closed for nearly four years until, in the summer of 1989, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place officially reopened with minor changes, such as the removal of the Puppet and the crawl maze under Pirate's Cove. The location attempted to stay afloat but struggled to retain much interest despite a boost in popularity and the introduction of the HelpyPAL computer assistant in 2002. Fazbear Entertainment ultimately declared bankruptcy and closed its restaurant chain in October 2003, leaving Freddy Fazbear abandoned inside the restaurant indefinitely.
That same year, in October 2003,[2] the protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS was called back to the location after 20 years of neglect, drawn by the sense of "sorrow" that surrounded the place.
Jacob's last memory of his favorite animatronic.
In the same year that the Fazbear Archive team garnered traction, in 2024, the story of Johan Parker emerged after a commercial he directed was discovered and labeled as found media, dedicated to advertising Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place and its departure from Fredbear's Family Diner. Following Johan's death, his son, Jacob Parker, began engaging with the Fazbear Archive and its community, who were intrigued by his father's role as a commercial director for Fazbear Entertainment. While back at his hometown Colorado Springs, Jacob unwittingly attracted the attention of an unknown figure, implied to be William Afton. Afton managed to track Jacob down by digging through the company’s backlogs and discovering that Johan had accepted a series of plushies sent to his home as compensation for directing his commercial.
Bonnie is particularly relevant to this situation because, in a file detailing Jacob's last memories, it was revealed that his favorite animatronic was Bonnie the Bunny.
Gameplay[]
Post-Night Demo[]

Bonnie the Bunny's jumpscare.
Bonnie the Bunny is one of the two animatronics active in BLOOD & GEAR's Post-Night demo. During Monday: 6 AM, Bonnie will attempt to creep up on the protagonist as he plays the Fazbear on the Run minigame. Metallic footsteps can periodically be heard approaching the player. Bonnie will exclusively appear on the right side of the arcade at all times. When Bonnie stands in that corner, the player must shine the Flashlight directly into Bonnie's eyes to counteract him, causing him to wander away from the arcade. With each successful counteraction, a battery will be drained from the player's flashlight, requiring them to collect batteries within the minigame to continue doing so.
