This page is dedicated to recollecting and documenting all unused content that has been revealed or uncovered for Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS. As the game currently stands in development, some of the ideas and concepts listed here may potentially resurface or be incorporated into the final version of the game.

Unused Content[]

Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS[]

Old Animatronic Models[]

During the initial development stages of Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS, the animatronics were initially conceptualized to resemble the classic Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics more closely, rather than drawing inspiration from real-life cyberamics. Before their redesigns, the cast of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place had more humanoid features, including shoulder pads, taller builds, slimmer bodies, and rounder heads.

Old Concept Artwork[]

During the development process, several scrapped ideas were proposed or significantly altered. Before their redesign, the cartoon counterparts to each animatronic bore a resemblance to their current models, but with a rougher, more unfinished appearance and lacking some minor details. Interestingly, Chica was initially considered to have feathers on her arms that would function as wings. Additionally, a series of concept art pieces were created, intended to be later modelled and revealed as teasers, but were later heavily reworked, notably the Show Stage concept. Furthermore, the logo for Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS was more complex in its earlier design, featuring illustrated blood instead of the neon red glow that eventually became the final version.

Early Main Menu[]

After the release of a teaser showing the sign of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place at night, it was revealed that this same render would have been used as the main menu for the definitive release of Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS, or at least was considered for that purpose. Golden (@MakeATweetGold on X/Twitter) shared various mockups of the main menu on Twitter.[1]

Unused Credits sequence[]

According to the Helpy parody account on Discord, which has since been confirmed to be run by a developer of the game, an early concept for the Credits screen was revealed. As part of this concept, the Credits sequence would have featured Helpy looking down at the floor, surrounded by complete darkness. The background music would have consisted of soft, individual piano notes playing one-by-one, occasionally building into a cacophony of notes that continued to use soft keys.

The unused soundtrack the Helpy Parody account stated was since a "scrapped song."[2]

BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo[]

Expanded Post-Night build[]

Due to time constraints and various issues, certain features in the Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo did not make the cut due to the need to release the game on time. Although the game is in a stable state, developer Etti (@etti_surreal on X/Twitter) shared an exclusive build of the demo, which included their suggested tweaks to various aspects of the game. While most elements of the game remained unchanged, several features that were initially absent were restored, including the Main Menu now consisting red static behind the computer's text, a dusty and smudged arcade machine, a brand-new night loading screen, and most conveniently, a brand new scrolling system which has three set positions as apposed to the camera following the players cursor.

Bear5 Sprites[]

Hidden within the files of BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo, an alternative skin for Freddy Fazbear's sprites, which is displayed on the Freddy on the Run, can be found inside the files. This skin was accidently left inside the files and is based on Bear5, a running joke within the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom. The original Bear5 image depicts a blue recolor of Freddy holding a knife. In contrast to being a simple recolor of Freddy in the game, the Bear5 sprites in Freddy on the Run instead consist of him holding its knife and its distinctive wide eyes.

Mockup Arcade images[]

Deep within the files of the Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo, mockup images for the Arcade can be discovered. One of these assets is a placeholder image of the arcade, featuring only three arcade machines and no background. The other mockup images appear to depict the mockup renders of Chica and Bonnie standing beside the player. It is worth noting that the UNMASKED arcade cabinet in the final version was replaced with an out-of-order arcade machine.

Scrapped Main Menus[]

Various discarded concepts for the Main Menu of the Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo can be found in the game's files. The first two iterations of the Main Menu are similar to the final version, but they consist a shifted perspective, with the view aligned to the left rather than directly facing the computer screen. The second main menu concept depicts the four main animatronics twitching, with the options likely located in the center of the screen. When interacting with the New Game option, instead of being sent to Monday: 6AM loading screen, the player would have been shown the full newspaper article about Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place wanting help.

Dawko setting[]

As revealed within the BLOOD & GEARS Discord server, a Dawko setting would've been included in the final build but removed due to the already significant amount of Dawko references within the game. The Dawko mode was intended to be an optional feature, similar to the Markiplier option in the settings menu. When activated, the mode would have displayed a photoshopped image of Dawko as an old man sitting in the bottom left corner of the screen, mimicking his camera position when recording videos.

Dawko Demo Setting
The scrapped Dawko setting, which similar to the Markiplier setting, can be accessed in the settings.[3]
