Foxy the Pirate is an antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS, being one of the four revealed antagonists of the game.
He is a popular side attraction at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, where he can be found performing in Pirate's Cove. As a charming pirate-themed animatronic, Foxy performs to a much smaller audience, entertaining guests with his pirate persona. However, like his original counterpart, upon being discovered with tears and wilts on his body, he would be indefinitely removed from the restaurant.

Appearance[]
Foxy the Pirate is an anthropomorphic crimson fox with lighter shades of red on his snout, torso, and unique tail. Unlike his original counterpart from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, Foxy the Pirate's design in the game is designed to be more faithful to the cyberamic animatronics of the late 1900s, resulting in the absence of a waist and segmented joints that reveal his endoskeleton. He has two sharp ears and patchy tufts of hair on his head, along with patches of fur sticking out from the sides of his face and snout. He wears a black eyepatch, has black whiskers, and his teeth is composed of white, yellow, and orange variants. Foxy's torso contains one concerning gash sliced directly in the middle in his torso, along with damage spread across his arms, and brown shorts are severely damaged, with various holes throughout, exposing parts of his endoskeleton. His left arm lacks a cover, while his right arm ends in a sharp hook. From the waist down, Foxy's pants are torn, leaving only his endoskeleton ankles visible.
Personality[]
Not much is known about Foxy the Pirate's personality aside for his stereotypical pirate persona he inhabits while performing.
History[]
Like the other animatronics, Foxy the Pirate was conceptualized in 1979 and intended to appear at Fredbear's Family Diner. She was initially meant to perform alongside the other animatronics, as envisioned by Henry Emily. However, all four characters from Freddy Fazbear & Friends were ultimately cut due to budget constraints, leading to the creation of Fredbear and Bonnie Rabbit. Following what is implied to be the Bite of 1983, which resulted in the closure of Fredbear's Family Diner, Henry Emily decided to rebrand the location as Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place and replace all the animatronics with a brand-new cast. Foxy was one of two unique additions to the restaurant, inhabiting his own stage, known as Pirate's Cove, that included a crawl maze, which was shortly closed in 1989.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place continued to thrive in Colorado Springs, according to the setting of Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS, until 1985, when the location temporarily shut down due to management issues that arose after the death of Henry Emily and the disappearance of William Afton. As a result, an unnamed member of the Emily family took over the Fazbear Entertainment brand and eventually reopened the location four years later, in 1989, with various changes made, such as the removal of the Puppet and the crawl maze under Pirate's Cove. While the location managed to stay open for a bit, the location struggled to maintain interest, even with a boost in popularity and the introduction of the HelpyPAL computer assistant in 2002. In October 2003, Fazbear Entertainment declared bankruptcy and closed its restaurant chain, leaving Foxy abandoned inside the restaurant indefinitely.
In December 2002, just before Fazbear Entertainment's decision to file for bankruptcy and close Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place the following October in 2003, all the animatronics were found vandalized and damaged after a break-in incident. Although all animatronics remained intact, Foxy was severely damaged, sporting a series of large holes, bumps, and tears throughout his suit. All animatronics, excluding Foxy, were repaired. Instead, Pirate's Cove was closed, and Foxy was decommissioned until the eventual closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place in 2003.
That same year, in October 2003,[1] the protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS was called back to the location after 20 years of neglect, drawn by the sense of "sorrow" that surrounded the place.
In 2015, a group of four young adults founded The Fazbear Archive and officially launched FazbearArchive.com. By 2024, the team actively collaborated with interested fans to search for lost media related to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, locating lost commercials and artifacts from the location through YouTube videos and collectors. However, as detailed through the ARG, it appears that someone with close ties to the location, implied to be William Afton, is not pleased with their attempts to reminisce about the past as "Blood and gears running the little machines of fantasy land" as, in a personal drive, a file named "ARCHIVE.txt" details that children yearn for their families within the restaurant, which has since been closed for two decades.
