FiveNightsatFreddysBlood&Gears PostNightDemo Monday6AM

Monday: 6:00 AM is the first overtime task provided to the player in Five Nights at Freddy's: BLOOD & GEARS. It also served as the first look at interactable gameplay for the game's first teaser demo.

During this overtime shift, Jeremy Fitzgerald tasks the player with investigating a malfunctioning arcade cabinet that had been causing trouble before their shift began. As they approach the cabinet, they are suddenly faced with beating the high score while having animatronics attempt to sneak up on them and jumpscare them.

Task[]

After completing the 12:00 AM shift, Jeremy Fitzgerald calls the protagonist to investigate a malfunctioning arcade cabinet inside Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place's Arcade. Following a brief conversation with Jeremy about their shift, he asks the player to investigate the "Freddy on the Run" arcade machine, which has been reported to shut down when reaching a specific score of 1983. In exchange for an overtime bonus on their paycheck, the protagonist reluctantly agrees to the task. However, Jeremy warns that the animatronics will still be active while they investigate the arcade machine, specifically Bonnie and Chica, who were stated to frequently patrol around that exact area. Despite this danger, many past employees have reported that Bonnie and Chica are sensitive to direct light exposure in their eyes, being a last resort to Jeremy in the case the animatronics get to "handsy."

Freddy on the Run.

After exiting the Office through the left door, the player finds themselves face-to-face with the "Freddy on the Run" arcade cabinet, surrounded by various other machines, including a claw machine filled with merchandise and an arcade cabinet with the title "UNMASKED." In this game, the player takes control of Freddy Fazbear as he runs through his pizzeria, dodging obstacles such as Chica's Magic Rainbow, Carl the Cupcake, tables, and more. The player must jump over these obstacles, but as they progress, Chica will make a cameo appearance, flying across the screen. The player must either duck under her or adjust their jumping timing to avoid colliding with her.

Bonnie stalking the player.

As the player plays "Freddy on the Run", the sound of Bonnie and Chica's metallic footsteps can be heard from either the left or right side of the screen. In this scenario, the player must pause the game, or alternatively, simply turn away from the running game, and turn towards the source of the footsteps. Chica will appear on the left side of the screen, while Bonnie will appear on the right. To ward the animatronics away, the player must use their Flashlight, which will slowly drain its battery life. Fortunately, within the game, scattered throughout the arcade cabinet are Batteries that can be collected to raise the flashlight's battery count by one usage.

After achieving a score of 1983, the arcade cabinet suddenly malfunctions and displays static, however for a brief moment, the message "Welcome back" can be seen on the top left corner. Attempting to unpause the game leads to no response, prompting the protagonist to blurt "What the hell?" in confusion the arcade screen cuts to black. As the overtime shift concludes, a silhouette appears reflecting from the arcade cabinet. This silhouette was later confirmed to be the Puppet.

Trivia[]

  • The arcade cabinet to the right of the player, titled "UNMASKED", serves as a nod to JDBRYANT's earlier narrative-driven platformer game of the same name.
    • Initially, according to mockup assets left inside the BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo, this arcade machine was initially going to be absent from the final release and replaced with an out-of-commission purple arcade cabinet with its name covered with cardboard.
  • References to various media can be found inside the claw machine situated to the left of the Freddy on the Run arcade cabinet.
    • A plushie of JDBRANT, the director of the game, can be found inside the claw machine.
    • A plushie of Spring Bonnie's Hex plushie also sits inside. In order to distinct the plush from the other merchandise, his buttoned-up eyes serves as a clear giveaway.
    • A plushie of Dandy The Dandiest Bear can barely be seen in the corner, a nod to the cyberamic who performed at Dandy Bear Amusement Centers during the late 1900s and even debuted on his own television show.
  • Hidden within the files of BLOOD & GEARS Post-Night Demo, sprites for Bear5, a running gag within the Five Nights at Freddy's community, was at one point considered to be a playable character in Freddy on the Run.
