  • The Joy of Creation: Story Mode

For years, I thought that what I saw was just a bad dream. Something that couldn’t possibly have been real. Why would it? Monstrous beings, coming to get a helpless child from the shadows, poking their heads out from under the bed, peeking through the closet. Just a usual nightmare for a kid, right?
Nick Cawthon in The Office

The Joy of Creation: Story Mode is an indie free-roam survival horror game developed by Nikson, inspired by Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. The game is often considered one of the best FNaF fangames of all time, which was praised by players for its graphics following its release on GameJolt.

The game would receive a remake for The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection, which would have been a bundle of remakes for The Joy of Creation: Story Mode and previous games. However, this was cancelled and replaced by the standalone reboot, titled THE JOY OF CREATION, as Nikson is a part of the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative.
